London City Farm

Do you want to experience a slice of rural lifestyle in farm environment without leaving London?

Together with farmyard animals, a lot of city farms offer gardens, children’s play grounds and a farm shop where you can pick up fresh farm produce.

Here are the guideline which you can head right down to amongst London’s city farms and say “hello” to the animals.

Most city farms have volunteer courses to help you experience on these.

Belmont Children’s Farm

Belmont Farm provides fun and education for all the family, and easily accommodates school visits and parties. You can see the animals and at specific times participate in their daily care – you won’t even have to get your feet muddy!

London City Farm

 

Belmont Children’s Farm has more than 30 various animal , which range from traditional farm animals like sheep, goats, pigs and cows.

Mudchute Farm and Park

Mudchute Park and Farm can be found in the middle of the Isle of Dogs. They have a wonderful 32 acre site which is open to the public and has fantastic views across London.

London City Farm

Their two donkeys are called Dizzy and Snowflake

Throughout Mudchute Farm’s landscaping and buildings you’ll be able to see their British rare breed animals, horses and ponies everywhere.

Hackney City Farm

Hackney City Farm has a range of farmyard animals including goats, sheep, chickens and a donkey as well as some small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

Their livestock are on rotation with a farm in Kent, and spend some time in the city and some on the working farm in the country.

The farm is a community and educational resource which their facilities include a farmyard, grazing area, garden, tree nursery with butterfly .house.
